Minimum qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in physics and the ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance.  Coursework or experience in education is not required, nor is certification.

Environmental Science Position at Amphi High School
 
Amphitheater High School in Tucson is looking for an Environmental Science teacher to fill in for two class periods a day starting in Mid February and running through the end of the school year.
This position can either be filled by someone with a valid substitute Certificate or a Secondary Science Certificate.
 
The curriculum for this class is project-heavy and we have a one-to-one student to computer ratio for these classes.  Also, since I teach the other two sections of Environmental Science, this position comes with a lot of support.

Tempe Preparatory Academy looking for Physics Teacher next year

Tempe Preparatory Academy (TPA) is a high-achieving, liberal arts charter school located in Tempe, AZ that offers an honors curriculum in all courses. We are very proud that this Fall, Newsweek ranked TPA as the #1 high school in Arizona and the #15 high school in the country. We have an opening for the 2017-18 school year (employment will start on 8/1/2017) for either a 3Ž4 time Physics teacher (teaching three 11th grade classes of Physics I‹Mechanics) or a full-time teacher (teaching the three Physics I classes and one other class‹most likely a mathematics class). 

Full-time faculty at TPA teach four classes with two planning periods each day. The average size of classes at Tempe Prep is 22 students, and all 11th grade students are enrolled in Physics I.
We are specifically looking for someone with a background in teaching using Modeling Instruction and student-centered learning, or someone who is willing to learn the methodology and subsequently take a Modeling workshop during the summer (offered at nearby Arizona State University).

The Arizona Technology Council Foundation is seeking a full-time Director for Business & Community Partnerships to nurture the growing need to connect Arizona’sChief Science Officers (CSOs) with the community. The Chief Science Officers program is the first of its kind where a 6th to 12th grade student is ELECTED by his/her peers to be their school’s liaison for STEM and innovation. The CSO becomes part of a cadre of student leaders who experience special leadership training, impact STEM opportunities at their school and local community, and work as a collective cabinet to give input and ideas to adult STEM leaders in the state or region. Important to its success it to foster relationships and understanding of the relevance of student voice in the community. Key responsibilities of this position will include collaborating with CSOs, the Arizona Technology Council Foundation team, and Regional Collaborators to engage business and community partners with CSO schools, community events and opportunities for sponsorship.
